These Terms of Service govern your use of readnlearn.com and any services you purchase from Read ‘n’ Learn Ltd. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Services
Read ‘n’ Learn Ltd provides professional children’s book illustration services, educational content creation, and children’s book app development. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing for each project are agreed upon before work begins, either through the service packages listed on this website or through a custom project agreement. We reserve the right to decline any project request at our discretion.2. Orders and Payments
Service packages may be purchased with a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due upon project completion and before delivery of final files. The Immediate Custom Spread service ($150) requires full payment upfront. Payments are processed through PayPal or Airwallex. By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided. Work does not begin until the deposit or full payment (where applicable) has been received and confirmed.3. Free Custom Spread
The free custom spread offer provides one double-page spread illustration at no charge, subject to monthly availability. The free spread is provided as a sample of our work and style. There is no obligation to proceed with a paid project after receiving a free spread. The free spread is delivered as a digital file for evaluation purposes.4. Project Process
Upon payment of the deposit, we will schedule a project briefing to confirm all details including style direction, character descriptions, page count, and timeline. Changes to the agreed brief after work has begun may affect the project timeline and cost. Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds as agreed at briefing. Revisions beyond the agreed scope will be quoted separately. Each project includes two rounds of revisions as agreed at briefing. A revision round covers consolidated feedback submitted in a single communication. Revisions requested after the agreed rounds have been completed, or changes that alter the original approved brief, will be quoted and invoiced separately before work continues.5. Intellectual Property for Illustration Projects
Upon receipt of full and final payment, the client receives full commercial rights to the completed illustrations. The client may use the illustrations for any commercial or non-commercial purpose including publication, merchandising, and distribution, without restriction, except as stated below. AI restriction:Â The client may not use the delivered illustrations, in whole or in part, as training data for artificial intelligence systems, generative AI models, or any machine learning system. This restriction applies regardless of whether the use is commercial or non-commercial. Until full payment is received, all intellectual property rights in the illustrations remain with Read ‘n’ Learn Ltd. Partial or draft files delivered for review purposes do not transfer any rights to the client. Portfolio rights:Â Read ‘n’ Learn Ltd retains the right to display completed illustrations in our portfolio, on this website, and in marketing materials at any time, unless a separate written confidentiality agreement has been signed.6. Intellectual Property for App Development Projects
Upon receipt of full and final payment for an app development project, the client receives full commercial rights to the published app as a product. This includes the right to publish, distribute, monetise, and update the app under their own developer account. The client does not receive ownership of the underlying codebase unless a separate written agreement for codebase transfer has been negotiated and paid for. The codebase remains the intellectual property of Read ‘n’ Learn Ltd. App updates and maintenance after delivery are provided as a separate paid service. If the client wishes to transfer development to a third party, a codebase purchase must be negotiated separately. The same AI restriction applies: the client may not use any delivered app assets, including illustrations, audio, or code, as training data for artificial intelligence or machine learning systems.7. Confidentiality
We treat all project briefs, manuscripts, story content, and client communications as confidential. We do not share client project details with third parties without consent, except where required by law. If a client requires formal confidentiality over portfolio display rights, this must be requested in writing before the project begins and agreed in a separate written agreement.8. Service Delivery
How services are delivered
All services provided by Read ‘n’ Learn Ltd are delivered digitally. No physical goods are shipped. Final project files are delivered via email or secure file sharing link upon receipt of full and final payment. Delivery is typically to the email address used at the time of purchase.What is included in each service
The specific deliverables for each service are described on the relevant product page on readnlearn.com and confirmed in writing at the project briefing. Standard deliverables include high-resolution print-ready illustration files (300 DPI, CMYK) and web-optimised preview files in JPEG or PNG format, unless otherwise agreed. App development projects are delivered as a published application under the client’s developer account, with additional file formats agreed per project.Delivery timelines
Indicative timelines for each service are as follows:- Book Illustration Package: 4 to 6 weeks from briefing completion
- Educational Book Package: 6 to 8 weeks from briefing completion
- Educational Activity Book Package: 4 to 6 weeks from briefing completion
- Immediate Custom Spread Service: first draft within 2 business days of purchase
- App Development Projects: timeline agreed per project before deposit is taken
