An Interactive Storytelling app takes an illustrated children’s book and adds a layer that print cannot: narration, animation, interactive elements and the ability for a child to read along or be read to. I have been building these since 2012, starting with Pinocchio for Minoas Editions, one of Greece’s largest children’s publishers.
The process always starts with the book. If the illustration work is already done, converting it to an interactive app is a natural next step. If you are starting from scratch, I can handle both the illustration and the app development as a single project.
Every app I build helps fund tools for children with autism and neurodivergent learners. Read about the mission.

The complete book-to-app conversion guide walks through every step — from assessing your manuscript to App Store submission. What it involves, what it costs, and what to expect along the way.
Published Interactive Storytelling Apps
Interactive storybook apps built for publishers and internal development projects.
Pinocchio
Interactive Storytelling App for iOS Published by Minoas PublicationsÂ
An interactive storybook app developed for Minoas Editions, one of Greece’s largest children’s publishers. The app brings Carlo Collodi’s classic story to life with full narration, animated illustrations and two reading modes: “Listen and Read to Me” and “Read It Myself”, so children can engage at their own pace.
The illustrations in this app were created by a separate illustrator engaged by Minoas. My role was the full app development: architecture, animation integration, audio implementation, interactive elements and App Store submission.
Brand New World
Multi-Platform Interactive Storytelling App
Brand New World
Multi-Platform Interactive Storytelling App
A fully illustrated interactive storytelling app developed under the ReadnLearn brand for both iOS, Android, WIndows OS and Mac OS. The app follows Christina and her friends through a story told across richly illustrated scenes with full Greek narration and highlighted text. Three modes were built: listen and read together, read independently, and play. The games include interactive scene activities and a drawing and colouring game. All illustration, animation, narration integration and development were done in-house.
The app was completed but never submitted to the App Store or Google Play. It remains one of the most complete internal projects ReadnLearn has produced and directly shaped how later client app projects were approached. Worth noting: the Pinocchio app for Minoas Editions was iOS only this project went further by targeting all platforms.
