A free dot to dot printable pack, 24 pages
Sophia’s Treasure Hunt. Graded from 1 to 10 all the way to 1 to 150, so one pack works from preschool through grade 4. Every page asks a riddle, and connecting the dots answers it.
Try one right now
This is page five of the pack, the easiest one: ten dots. Print it or trace it with a finger on the screen. Sophia needs what it makes before she can go into the cave.
Caves are dark. She will need this. Connect 1 to 10.
It is a lantern. Notice the outline is all straight edges: at ten dots a curve has nowhere to live, which is why the easy pages are angular and the curved animals wait until later in the pack.
What is in the pack
A riddle on every page.
One story running through it.
Six difficulty levels.
Shapes matched to the count.
Answer keys.
Nothing near the edge.
Which pages suit which child
Most printable packs mix levels, which is why a child hits a page that is too hard and quits. This one is ordered, and the number range is the whole reason.
| Pages | Numbers | Roughly | What is on them |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 to 6 | 1 to 15 | Preschool, ages 3 to 4 | A key, a lantern, a spyglass. All straight edges. |
| 7 to 9 | 1 to 25 | Kindergarten, ages 4 to 6 | A compass, a water flask, a coil of rope. |
| 10 to 13 | 1 to 30 | Kindergarten and up | A sail, a rowboat, an anchor, a message in a bottle. |
| 14 to 17 | 1 to 65 | Grades 1 to 2, ages 6 to 8 | A starfish, a seashell, a crab, a palm tree. |
| 18 to 20 | 1 to 100 | Grades 2 to 3 | A parrot, a lighthouse, a sailing ship. |
| 21 to 22 | 1 to 150 | Grades 3 to 4, ages 8 to 10 | The cave, and the open chest at the end. |
A page should take three to eight minutes. If your child quits halfway, drop a level. If they finish in thirty seconds, go up one. There is no order you have to follow and no wrong answer to any of it.
The reasoning behind those bands is in our longer guide to dot to dot printable activities, including what the pages actually build and how teachers use them in class.

Questions
What age is this for?
Ages 3 to 10, which is wider than most packs because the pages are graded. A three-year-old can do the first few. A nine-year-old will want the last two. Most families use it across several years rather than all at once.
What size does it print at?
US Letter, 8.5 by 11 inches, portrait. Everything sits inside a 7.5 by 10 inch safe area, so a printer that crops the edges will not cut a dot off.
Does it use a lot of ink?
The puzzle pages are black on white. Color appears on the cover and on Sophia, the owl, in the corner. Printing in grayscale loses nothing but the color of the owl.
Is it really free?
Yes. You give us an email address, we send you the pack, and you can unsubscribe from the first email if you want nothing else from us.
Can I use it in my classroom?
Yes. Print as many copies as your class needs. What you cannot do is sell it or post the file on another site.
Do the pages have to be done in order?
No. The story runs in order and the difficulty climbs, so front to back is the natural way through. Skipping around is fine, and so is doing the same page twice.
How do I get the pack?
